For the past couple of months, I’ve been fooling around with black-and-white photos, and this one is a favorite of mine. I think the lack of color draws the eyes to shapes and shades, and it creates an interesting way to see the effect of light.
‘These crab traps were stacked up in the parking lot of a local seafood store, and they were so uninteresting that I almost didn’t shoot the picture. But when I Photoshopped the color out and boosted the contrast, the shot took on a whole different appeal.
You’ll probably be seeing a lot of B&W pictures on this site in the future.
